Everyone has questions and doubts.  Instead of demonizing those who ask genuine questions, let's learn to wrestle with beliefs together in a spirit of humility as we pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus.

We should evaluate our lifestyle in light of the accusations and labels being attributed to us as Christians so that we can respond accurately and thoughtfully.  One of the primary reasons people claim for leaving the faith is hypocrisy.

When people leave the faith, we must be aware of our response toward them.  Do we look down on them?  Do we show them love or do we turn up our noses like the elder brother in the story of the Prodigal Son?  We must strive to be more like the father in the parable and less like the elder brother.  We must treat our friends who have left the faith with love and respect, being eager to show them the same type of love Jesus shows to the lost.

Christians play a vital role in God's Interruption System.  While God is drawing all men unto Himself and interrupting/moving in people's lives, it's the responsibility of Christ-followers to help interpret God's activity in their lives.  Christians are sent.

Jesus is interrupted by people across all social and religious hierarchies. He makes time for the hurting and responds to their faith.  God is not too busy to be interrupted by your concerns. Allow him to shoulder your load.

God is interrupting because He is speaking.  Our response to God's voice is all that matters in this life.

This four-week series explores the interruptions and unexpected moments in Christ’s ministry. Jesus’s reaction to the people and disruptions that occur around Him help us recognize that God is sovereign. He can use these “accidents” and “interruptions” for His glory, and we can find grace in the divine interruptions that occur in our own lives.

In the final message of this Summer Baggage series, we explore a sin that is so common to human experience, it is a gateway to all other sins.  This sin strips us of our capacity to connect with others and stands between us and God.  This sin is pride.
