The Creed (pt4) | Ragman Jesus

Jesus, in His great compassion for humanity, chose to experience the entirety of our suffering and grief during His time on Earth. His decision to carry the burden of our sins led Him to the ultimate sacrifice of His life on the cross. Jesus, our Lord, not only reigns supreme but also embodies the sacrificial love of the Suffering Servant who selflessly endured crucifixion for the redemption of all.

The Creed (pt3) | Lordship

Do you bear the name of Christianity but not the essence of Christian living?  Fake Christians are individuals who claim to follow Jesus but do not align their actions with His teachings, choosing not to obey His commandments and words.  We need to understand that salvation and the lordship of Christ are intertwined and inseparable in our faith journey. 

The Creed (pt2) | Father Almighty

The Apostles' Creed was developed by the early church to ensure correct belief and was used in spiritual formation. The opening line, 'I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth,' echoes Genesis 1:1, emphasizing the belief in God as the Creator and the concept of creation ex nihilo.

The Apostles' Creed is a declaration of our understanding of God's revelation. It serves as a public statement of faith, anchors Christian belief in tradition, and provides a doctrinal basis for unity. Like the moon, it reflects truth and similar to the Olympic torch, has been handed down from generation to generation.

The Greatest Summer Ever (pt4) | Fruitfulness

Greatness in the kingdom of God is different from that in our culture, which values wealth and possessions, while the kingdom measures greatness by fruitfulness and faithfulness. Greatness in the kingdom requires responding to God's unconditional love with obedience to love others, resulting in becoming conduits of Jesus' love for the world, transforming into people who love as Jesus does.

The Greatest Summer Ever (pt3) | Faithful

To truly become a great disciple, one must start by being faithful with the things they have been entrusted with. This journey requires embracing uncertainties, stepping out of comfort zones, and persevering through challenges. Playing it safe doesn't lead to blessings or advancement, as Jesus doesn't favor those who shy away from taking steps of faith towards growth and transformation.

Fatherhood

In this Father’s Day message, Pastor Jim Moore share the keys to successful fatherhood.  He shares about the importance of spending time with each child, disciplining them, and becoming a spiritual leader in the home. Fathers (and parents in general) should lead by example, understanding that their children are influenced by their words and actions, and should strive to guide them in the right direction by embodying the values they wish to impart.

When questioned about the greatest commandment, Jesus united love for God and others as the core of religious duty, mirroring the essence of the 10 commandments. We do not have to complicate God’s commands, as Jesus sets the record straight by proclaiming the greatest commandment is encompassed by the principle of love. So, will you say "Yes" and obey the greatest person and commandment? The choice is yours.

Jesus calls us to relinquish everything to fully embrace the abundant life He offers in His kingdom. It's a summons to align our desires, actions, and aspirations with His divine will, setting aside our personal ambitions for the greater purpose of glorifying Him. By surrendering our yearning for recognition and earthly treasures, we open ourselves to the richness of His grace and the profound joy found in serving Him wholeheartedly.

Anchored (pt4) | Steadfast

In a world filled with challenges and uncertainties, finding the strength to stand firm can be a daunting task. The Bible emphasizes the importance of unwavering faith and perseverance. Through compelling examples and teachings, it encourages us to anchor ourselves to God's love, hope, truth, will and faithfulness.  When properly anchored, we'll be best positioned to navigate life's fiercest storms with faith, resilience, and steadfastness.
